Challenger V8 Cheat Sheet

Find a list of common tasks that you become almost an everyday task when using the Challenger V8 system.

• Default Installer Code: 4346
• Installer User Number: 50
• How to Change Installer Code: Press Menu -> Installer Code -> 14 Enter -> 3 Enter -> 5o Enter – Enter through Menu until “Pin Code” enter new code
• Installer Menu: Press Menu -> Installer Code -> 19 Enter
• Set Security Password: Press Menu -> Installer Code -> 19 Enter -> 29 Enter -> Enter New Security Password
• Date and Time Menu: Press Menu -> Installer Code -> 15 Enter
• User Menu: Press Menu -> Installer Code -> 14 Enter
• Change “Custom Message” Text on Keypads (LCD RAS): Press Menu -> Installer Code -> 19 Enter -> 26 Enter -> Enter New Custom Message

Common Input Types.

• Secure Alarm – Input Type 2: Alarm triggers only when area is armed.
• Entry Exit No Seal Check – Input Type 13: Allows entry and exit time on the zone and does not check status at arming. Eg. PIR at entry door.
• 24 Hour Alarm – Input Type 5: Alarm triggers at anytime – even when area is disarmed.
• 24 Hour Non Latching  Alarm – Input Type 29: Alarm generates anytime. The alarm resets automatically when the input seals.
